The term "safe sex" is a deception that continues to contribute to the damage and death of our young people in the USA and the rest of the world. A more correct term for "safe sex" should be "safer sex" but in either case "safe/safer sex" is failing, and our youth are paying the price in more ways than one. The following are recent statistics on Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) posted on the US Government’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention web site http://www.cdc.gov/ :

• “About 1 million adolescents and young adults aged 10–24 years were reported to have chlamydia, gonor. or syphilis in 2006.”
• “Nearly a quarter of females aged 15–19 years, and 45% of those aged 20–24 years, had a human papillomavirus (HPV) infection during 2003–2004.”
• “There were approximately 745,000 pregnancies among U.S. females under age 20 in 2004.”
• “In 2006, the majority of new HIV diagnoses among adolescents and young adults aged 10–24 years occurred among those aged 20–24 and among males.”
• “Teen birth rates increased in 2006 and 2007, following large declines from 1991 to 2005.”
• “Rates of AIDS cases among males aged 15–24 years increased during 1997–2006.”
• “Syphilis cases among teens and young adults aged 15–19 and 20–24 years have increased in both males and females in recent years.”
• “Men who have sex with men made up more than two thirds, 68%, of all men diagnosed with HIV in 2005, even though only 5% to 7% of men in the US reported having sex with other men.” (Homosexuals and bisexuals referred to here as men who have sex with other men).

These sad statistics clearly show that “safe sex” is not working, at least when it comes to our youth. Our young people need to be told the truth that using protection may be “safer sex”, and that abstinence until marriage (between a man and a woman) is the only way that guarantees 100% safety provided that each partner is STD free. I believe that the increasing numbers of HIV and STD cases is another negative consequence that results from ignoring the Truth from God who tells us to abstain from sex until marriage. The statistics above show that God has good reasons.  

The devastation of HIV and other STDs to our youth is not the only damage that occurs from “safe sex education". The “safe sex” deception is also causing worse damage to their character and to their value of life. When condoms and other protection devices are freely and casually given out to our youth a subtle message is also given that they do not have self-control and that it’s okay to have casual sex. This message is then generalized to other behaviors which may explain why so many of our youth do not have self-control in other areas of their life. The result is drug and alcohol use, crime, gang activity, poor academic performance, disrespect for authority, and other ills. When contraceptives are freely given out and abortion is made easily available the subtle message that is sent is that life has no value. Planned Parenthood, largely funded with our tax payer dollars, makes millions by killing unborn babies and hurting young women many who are children themselves.  I strongly believe that what adults do behind closed doors is their business and they have that right. They also have the maturity (hopefully) to be more responsible and practice “safer sex”, something many of our youth do not have and do not do as shown by the CDC statistics cited above. In either case, following what God commands is always the best and safest advice to follow.

 Ever since the beginning of civilization humans have embarked on the search for truth. Contrary to common belief, Truth cannot be whatever one wants it to be because when Truth is whatever one wants it to be it can become very dangerous and threaten our Freedom (it already has and is). There are many ways that truth and freedom relate. One of the most important ways is found in The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America as quoted in part below.

"We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness−That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government  becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government , laying its foundation on such Principles...". (Emphasis added).

I am not a scholar of The Declaration of Independence but no one has to be to see the connection between Truth and Freedom (Liberty) in the above excerpt. What the Founding Fathers wrote above clearly shows their genius mind. However, in reality it shows that the real genius is the Creator and our Founding Fathers were wise enough to know that. The freedoms that we have enjoyed for so long in the United States come from Judeo/Christian values, undoubtedly the Foundation of America. The attacks on Judeo/Christian values by secularists and others on the left and now led by President Obama are seriously and dangerously undermining these “unalienable Rights, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”.

In the excerpt above we see that there are Truths that are indisputable and that are obvious, self evident. These rights come from the Creator which means that no man can take them away. When we begin to deny that there is a Creator who gives us these Rights, then we leave the decision as to what our rights are to other men and women, i.e. an activist Supreme Court and Big Government. They are no longer unalienable. Government is becoming alarmingly huge at a rapid rate and unless we stop it we will indeed lose these Rights, maybe forever!

When we look at the emphases in the above excerpt we can first see that the powers of the government must be just (the Creator is a just God), and that those powers are derived “from the Consent of the Governed”. That's us! Moreover, “whenever any Form of Government  becomes destructive of these Ends”, these ends being our inalienable Rights, it is “the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government , laying its foundation on such Principles...". That's us again! Which principles? Those that are being changed by the radical left and that are the very foundation of America and freedom.

It seems obvious that President Obama, his left wing friends, and other left wing organizations are leading the way toward the destruction of our Freedom. Was it not President Obama that made his first speech as president overseas and announced to the Muslim world that we are not a Christian nation? Just as I feared when he was running for president, it is becoming more apparent every day that Obama has a deep resentment for America and that he is not to be trusted. But unlike people on the left with their vitriol toward President George Bush and other conservatives, I pray that the Creator changes President Obama's  heart, that he has an awakening, and I pray for God's protection over him and his family. The fact that America was based on Judeo/Christian values is what gives left wing radicals like Obama the right to express their views and beliefs and we want it to stay that way. On the other hand, they do not want others that think differently to have that same right which is why they are a grave threat to our unalienable Rights that are endowed by our Creator. Let's spread the Truth and in the next election elect men and women leaders that will stand for the Truth that is found in The Declaration of Independence and that will form a government that is by the people and for the people. Truth and Freedom will be victorious in America, the greatest nation on the Creator’s earth.
